Make a gift - Make a difference

Michigan State University's Semester Study Program in Washington, DC offers students an exceptional opportunity to live in dynamic Washington, D.C and experience life in our nation's capital. The program combines an integrative course curriculum that focuses on government institutions, public policy and professional development with valuable on-the-job experience.

Students earn MSU credit toward their undergraduate degrees. Seminars are held in MSU's Washington office on Capitol Hill as well as various locations across the city and include presentations by Washington professionals from a wide range of fields and political diversity. Students work in an internship with government, non-profit, or private organizations gaining valuable on-the-job training and career opportunities. These work assignments are generally unpaid.
