Hawaii Study and Internship Program

Michigan State University's Hawaii Experience is an insider's view of native Hawaiian culture experienced on the two distinctly different islands of Hawaii (The "Big Island") and Oahu.

Each summer, two unique programs are offered:

The Study Program, where students learn, alongside University of Hawaii students, in-depth aspects of native culture, including, but not limited to the importance of land, mountains and sea to survivial; the role family ("ohana") plays in native cultures; and the importance of serving others.

The Internship Program, for MSU seniors, offers interns an opportunity to work alongside Honolulu professionals in a wide variety of venues.

Please plan to attend one of our informational meetings next Fall or Spring semester.  You will meet program alums, faculty and staff, and learn more about this unique opportunity!

Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at 4pm in 122 Berkey Hall

If you cannot attend one of these sessions, and wish to learn more about MSU's Hawaii Progam, please email hawaiistudy@ssc.msu.edu to request an appointment.
