MSU’s San Francisco Summer Internship Program provides students a chance to gain professional experience in a West Coast environment. The Bay Area combines natural beauty with vibrant commerce in a city where quaint meets worldly. This stunning city embraces an eclectic blend of cultures.

MSU College of Social Science partners with an organization, Academic Internship Council (AIC) that identifies customized internship placements for each student in industries such as arts and culture, television and film, human services, event management, international organizations, law, business and finance, museums, entertainment venues, digital design, newspapers, and many more. 

Program Dates: 8 weeks from June 3 to July 28, 2018 (to be confirmed)

Eligibility: 2.5 minimum GPA; junior standing

Housing: AIC arranged in downtown San Francisco

Courses: SSC 493, SSC 490, MC 400/401, AL 493A for a minimum of 6 credits

Program Fee: $3500*

Application Deadline:
Summer - February 15

Students will pay tuition plus program fee. Housing and internship placement / orientation services are included in the fee. This fee does NOT include tuition cost, meals, travel, in-town transportation and personal spending money; these costs will vary by individual student.

Please note that Social Science majors are able to participate and earn SSC credit in AIC's New York City or Boston program,too.  This program is administered by MSU's College of Arts & Letters.  Please go to the CAL Study Away page for more information.
