African Studies

The African Studies specialization is designed for students with an interest in Africa. The specialization helps students to acquire a better understanding of diverse aspects of African environments, economies, politics, societies, and cultures.

Students may take a broad range of courses or concentrate on developing language proficiency in an African language. Study abroad may be taken as a component of the specialization.
