43 Social Science graduates receive Board of Trustees' Award for Academic Excellence earning a 4.0 G.P.A.

Two hundred and seventy-two Michigan State University graduates accomplished something many students dream of — a perfect college GPA. Among the group included 43 College of Social Science graduating seniors.

During its April 12 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented the graduating seniors with the Board of Trustees’ Award, recognizing their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive, a 4.0 GPA.

Along with the board recognition, students also will be acknowledged during the spring commencement ceremonies and will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments.

The College of Social Science students honored for this achievement include:

Jesika K. Abolins, who earned a bachelor’s in history from the College of Social Science and is from Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Alisar Alabdullah, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Monroe, Michigan.

Sera Yazar Besev, who earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Cankaya, Turkey.

Alexander J. Chalom, who earned a bachelor’s in political science-prelaw from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Walker, Michigan.

Elise N. Chapman, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Joshua D. Darnell, who earned a bachelor’s in political science from the College of Social Science and is from Flint, Michigan.

Owen C. Ernst, who earned a bachelor’s in political science from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Plymouth, Michigan.

Isabelle V. Fanning, who earned a bachelor’s in political science-prelaw from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Plymouth, Michigan.

Elizabeth R. Fisher, who earned a bachelor’s in social work from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Lily K. Florian, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Stevensville, Michigan.

Gabriel J. Gorham, who earned a bachelor’s in political science from the College of Social Science and is from Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Sophie G. Handley, who earned a bachelor’s in economics from the College of Social Science and is from Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Natalie G. Hollis, who earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

Kaelyn Hopton, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from Middletown, Ohio.

Allison M. Hornung, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science and is from Macomb, Michigan.

Chelsea A. Hunter, who earned a bachelor’s in history from the College of Social Science and is from Novi, Michigan.

Madison A. Kammer, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science and is from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Jilianne S. Kowalchuk, who earned a bachelor’s in political science-prelaw from the College of Social Science, is a member of the Honors College from West Bloomfield, Michigan.
