Spring 2019 College of Social Science Student Commencement Speaker: Tristyn Walton!

The student commencement speaker for the Spring 2019 College of Social Science on  May 4th at the Breslin Center will be senior Tristyn Walton!

Tristyn is a member of the Social Science Scholars Program double-majoring in Public Policy and Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bioethics. Carrying an 3.92 GPA, Tristyn has also been extremely involved in her community. A Detroit native, Tristyn has completed over fifteen internships, including the InnovateGov program which places bright, committed MSU undergrads throughout the city of Detroit. She has also been actively giving back throughout her undergrad career, volunteering independently and through the various clubs and organizations she has been involved with throughout her time at MSU.

Tristyn’s speech, to be delivered on May 4th at the Breslin Center,  will touch on the importance of taking action, making change and accepting and celebrating one another’s differences.

Also speaking at this year’s Social Science Commencement, Miles Gordon, a Distinguished Social Science Alumnus, and Kaston Anderson-Carpenter, MSU Psychology Professor.
