November 26, 2019

Dr. Amanda Guinot Talbot has been named as the first recipient of the Mason Soneral Women’s Leadership Institute Faculty Fellowship. Dr. Talbot also serves as the Director of Undergraduate Education, and is an Assistant Professor, in Human Development & Family Studies within the College of Social Science at Michigan State University. She also serves on the Women’s Leadership Institute Board.

This Fellowship enables a designated faculty member to advance the mission of the Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI) through activities such as the development of student leadership curricula, networking and mentoring opportunities, internship and job opportunities and communication and outreach critical to the success of students in their professional and leadership trajectories.

“Amanda brings strong vision and expertise to the position. We look forward to her leadership in student advocacy, outreach and marketing; developing curricula; and building relationships with key stakeholders. Her ties especially to Detroit bring a unique opportunity to elevate MSU’s relationships and presence in Wayne county and the surrounding communities. She is the perfect fit to successfully ignite women leaders,” said Amy Bonomi, Director of MSU’s Children and Youth Institute and WLI board member.

The fellowship is made possible by Daryl Soneral and Christine Mason Soneral, who strongly believe women leaders make important contributions to the global community and that Michigan State University is an excellent place to foster such leadership.
