Leon Panetta, former Secretary of Defense, to speak at Michigan State University’s Governor Jim Blanchard Public Service Forum

Former Defense Secretary and CIA Director, Leon Panetta will be former Governor Jim Blanchard’s special guest at his upcoming MSU Public Service Forum on November 29, 2022. Panetta, who also served as a member of Congress from California and US Budget Director and Chief of Staff for President Bill Clinton, will attend the evening, conversational style forum at the Wharton Center at 7:30 pm on the East Lansing campus.

“This is going to be a fabulous program with discussions ranging from the war in Ukraine to Panetta’s views on the November election and our outlook for the next Congress. No one has had a more diverse set of high-level experiences in our US Government over the past four decades than Leon Panetta, “according to Blanchard. “It’s going to be an exciting and informative program.” Leon Panetta is currently Chairman of the Panetta Institute for Public Policy in Monterrey, California.

Tickets are on sale now. They are $25 for the general public and $5 for MSU Students and will be available for purchase at whartoncenter.com.
