Maya leads the Career Development Office in the College of Social Science, where she directs career programs, manages staff, develops employer partnerships, integrates career readiness into academic experiences, and oversees operations that advance student success.

Maya currently serves as the Director of the Career Development Office in the College of Social Science, bringing over a decade of experience in higher education career services, student engagement, and program leadership. She began her career at Michigan State University’s Career Services Network in 2012, where she spent ten years with the Employer Relations team. She later served as Assistant Director of Career Services, partnering closely with the College of Social Science to deliver tailored career programming and strategic support for students.

Maya holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. As a first-generation college student and college immigrant, she offers a personal perspective on the challenges and opportunities within higher education—an experience that informs her commitment to student-centered support.

In her spare time, Maya enjoys propagating indoor plants and helping others start their own indoor gardens. She is also a passionate advocate for the neurodivergent community, supporting greater awareness, inclusion, and access to resources.
