Dr. Antonio Nunez Antonio is an Associate Dean, Graduate School and Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience Program. He received his PhD in 1977 from Florida State University. His laboratory research interest is focused on the neural and endocrine control of circadian rhythms in mammals. A lot attention is devoted to the neural circuits that connect the circadian clock of the suprachiasmatic nucleus to other regions of the brain that regulate sleep and reproductive functions. In collaboration with the laboratories of Drs. Lily Yan and Laura Smale, he is investigating the functional anatomy of those neural circuits in diurnal and nocturnal species. He is the author and co-author of numerous scholarly publications.
Antonio Nunez is Gabe Sanchez's mentor.
