The Michigan State University Alumni Office has announced the 2026 Homecoming Court, a group of exceptional student leaders whose impact reaches across campus and beyond.
This year's court includes scholars, advocates, researchers, mentors and changemakers who embody the Spartan values of leadership, excellence, service and connection through their involvement, achievements and commitment to their communities.
The College of Social Science is well-represented on this year’s court. Sarah Bejerli, Roberto Marcos Garcia, Maddie Hanes, and Sumayia Imad are all Social Scientists. Garcia and Imad are also both part of the Social Science Scholars Program, and Imad is a member of the Women’s Leadership Institute Student Cohort.
Garcia is majoring in Sociology and minoring in Environmental Social Science through the College of Social Science and is also earning degrees in English and Creative Writing. Imad is an Economics major with minors in Sociology and Social Science Quantitative Data Analytics. Bejleri is also majoring in Economics and earning minors in Data Science, Insurance and Risk Management, Quantitative Data Analytics, and Mathematics. Hanes is a Political Science major with minors in Law, Justice and Public Policy and Women and Gender studies.
