
Dr. Brent Donnellan, professor of Psychology, began his term as Dean for the MSU College of Social Science in July 2023. Before serving as Dean, Dr. Donnellan was the Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs. He served as the Chairperson of the Department of Psychology from 2018 to August of 2022.
Dr. Donnellan investigates research questions at the intersections of personality psychology, developmental psychology, and psychological assessment. His current research efforts focus on the assessment of well-being, personality trait development, and methodological reform in psychological science. Dr. Donnellan is the co-author with Richard E. Lucas of the Great Myths of Personality published in 2021. He was the winner of the 2022 Diener Award in Personality Psychology from the Society of Personality and Social Psychology.
