    • What past participants have said

“I can't say enough about how awesome this program is. I wouldn't have submitted a grant without it. I had a seed of an idea but it never quite came to fruition... What we needed was to actually sit down and do it, with a steady hand of someone who's done it themselves and wanted the best for us. It was an awesome program!”

“I learned an incredible amount in a very appropriate length of time. The course encouraged me to pursue and hone ideas that I otherwise would not have.”

“I learned so many new things from Alex. It was an art. The grantsmanship techniques she has shared with us are incredibly valuable. I would not have thought of them, and no one has the time to do this for me so I appreciate everything that Alex has done. I love that she went into great detail from how to find the grant, PO, study section, and how to write every section of the grant, to what to do after your grant is submitted. I saw the whole process of how to put together an entire grant. I never knew how every sentence was placed with intention.... Grant writing is not scary anymore. Now that I understand how to structure it, I am more eager and excited to write grants!”

“Comprehensive feedback on developed grant documents both by a seasoned investigator and peers. Guidance and wisdom about writing fundable proposals. Valuable insider tips we couldn't get elsewhere.”

“There's just something different about hearing from someone who's done it before and has been in our shoes. She knew and anticipated all of our uncertainties and anxieties. Alex has a lot of inside knowledge (mostly from just doing it a bunch). She also knew when to push and when to give grace. As a professor, I don't think I've been in such a situation when a colleague essentially said, "hey, we can do this and I'll shepherd you through this the best I can." Alex is an amazing mentor and her accessible style (and humor) were some of the best parts.”
